This Teen Group is designed for adolescents and young adults with ASD to practice social, work and self-advocacy skills in a fun and relaxing atmosphere in community social settings.
This is an excellent opportunity for teens to make lasting friendships and be provided with social skill feedback by facilitators.
Participants should be between the ages of 13-18, independent in their toileting, not require 1 to 1 support, and be able to effectively communicate in a group setting.
Individuals should be recommended by their coordinator and may require an interview to be admitted.
Individuals may be asked to not return to group outings if not appropriate for the group. Parents are asked to remain for the first 2 outings.
